The Creative Thinkers Lab is an after-school program designed to enable young innovators and creative thinkers to think differently.
Our Story
In 2018, we established the Creative Thinkers Lab as a research project between Norman Mayers of redmango studios and Yvonne Spencer of the Caribbean Dyslexia Centre in Barbados, to explore the relationships between Dyslexic thinking strengths and innovation.
After five years of hands on research, a revolutionary new approach to education was developed: REMIX Learning, focusing on eight creative thinking strengths:
Imagining, Visualizing, Exploring, Communicating, Connecting, Reasoning, Creativity and Innovation.
The Creative Thinkers Lab based on the Caribbean island of Barbados provides a unique after-school learning environment where learners from around the Caribbean work with an international family of renowned creative leaders from diverse cultures, industries and disciplines to explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves through an approach we call 'Borderless Creative Collaboration'.
The future of education is NOW
The Creative Thinkers Lab provides a creative learning environment, where students from around the Caribbean become future innovators and successful creative thinkers. Our goal is to enable a generation of young people in the Caribbean to showcase their unique imaginations, creativity and innovations throughout their professional lives. These weekly two-hour hybrid sessions will enable students to form small Borderless high-performing, neuro-diverse teams to solve real-life global challenges in creative ways.
